Handling Electric Vehicles (EVs)
Regarding relief for electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid vehicles (HVs) and fuel-cell vehicles (FCVs) currently on sale, troubleshooting training for JAF road service staff nationwide has been completed and the patrol are presently providing full services. As for dead batteries or fuel outages on the road or at destinations, relief is being provided by towing the vehicles to charging or hydrogen refueling stations.
Branches with EV fast chargers
JAF has installed and started operation of EV fast chargers (CHAdeMO specification) at five branch offices nationwide for all JAF members to use for free.

※For a while from October 12, 2020, service counters at JAF branches nationwide will operate with shortened business hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m (Closed on Saturday, Sunday, national holidays and new year holidays.)
- Applications can be done at each branch counter. JAF members have to present their valid membership card.
- EV fast chargers can be used during office hours indicated above.
- There is only one EV fast charger in each branch. We may request you to wait for your turn when crowded.
