Members who have auto insurance from a company affiliated with JAF can receive extra preferential services such as an expanded range of free services for JAF members. By joining JAF, you can also use road services not covered under the auto insurance (including motorcycles) you are presently enrolled in.

(JAF members will, in principle, be passed on to JAF with the customer’s permission.)

JAF provides free over-the-phone interpretation for those who have difficulty communicating in Japanese, when calling for road service. Just call JAF Road Service and tell the operator the language you need interpretation for.

Call with Fax (Japanese only)
This is the fax number for roadside assistance calls through fax for drivers who cannot communicate by telephone, such as those with hearing and speaking difficulties.
Fill in the designated information in the road service request form and send it by fax to the contact number. The request form can be ordered in advance by fax from your nearest road service call center.In addition, you can use copies distributed to organizations for people with hearing impairments or copies which can be printed from the JAF website (click the link below). After the fax is received, you will be notified by fax of the estimated time at which the road service patrol vehicle will arrive.
