Our office will be closed for the year end and new year holidays from Tuesday, December 30, 2025, to Sunday, January 4, 2026.
*Applications can still be submitted online during the holiday period, but issuance will begin sequentially from Monday, January 5.
*Please note that even for applications submitted before Tuesday, December 30, issuance may be delayed until after Monday January 5 depending on the volume of requests. Thank you for your understanding.
Application for a Japanese translation can only be made in Japan.

- Switch to a Japanese driver’s license.
- Drive with a Japanese translation attached to your license
(issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, or Taiwan). - Drive with an International Driving Permit (IDP)
