Itako City
Suigo Itako Iris Garden: In the garden, about 1 million irises (ayame) of 500 different varieties are planted. And the Suigo Itako Iris Festival attracts around 800,000 visitors every year. The best time to see them is around the 10th of June.
Besides the beautiful fields of flowers, the highlight of the festival is the traditional ceremony in which a new bride, dressed in pure white kimono, is escorted by sappa boat with her matchmaker through town to where her groom is waiting.
Kasumigaura City
Kasumigaura: Hobikisen for tourists "The hometown of Hobikisens (sailing trawlers)" Hobikisens dominated fishery practices as the main fishing method in Kasumigaura. Hobikisens currently operate as tourist attractions. The dignified figure of sailing ships with large white sails is a seasonal event unique to Kasumigaura.

Saitama Prefecture
Saitama City
This is one of the most superb old shrines of Japan with a history that is said to go back more than 2,000 years and is also the origin of the name Omiya (literally, "large shrine") as a grand Shinto shrine.
Gyoda City
Constructed in the "Bunmei Era" of the Muromachi period (late 15th century), Oshi Castle is famous as the castle that held out against a flood attack organized by Ishida Mitsunari. Oshi Castle was torn down in the Meiji Restoration, but in 1988 Oshi Castle's three story tower was restored and combined with the Gyoda City Provincial Museum. Visitors can look out over the entire city from the top level of the three story tower.
Nagatoro Town
Nagatoro Valley is 6 km long in total and is designated a place of scenic beauty and natural monument. The valley contains Iwadatami that is a rock formation exposed over a width of 80m and a length of 500m along the Arakawa river.

Tateyama City

Uonuma is well known for its delicious Koshihikari rice and this region also makes the highest quality Japanese sake. And place which can be enjoyed throughout the year. For example during winter, snow exceeds 3 meters. This heavy snow has created a great winter sports experience for many visitors and locals. In addition, in the summer time there is opportunity for mountaineers to enjoy Oze National Park and to spend time hiking across mountains.

Hokuto City
Our northwestern corner of Yamanashi Prefecture has appeal in all four seasons though, from snow sports, cherry blossoms and art galleries, to autumn colors, golf and hot-springs.
Fuefuki City
From July 20 to August 20, at 8:50 p.m. a 10-minute firework display takes place. You can enjoy the show in a restful atmosphere, as the crowds are much smaller than those at the Firework Festival.

Nagano Prefecture
Ueda City
The master of Ueda castle, Sanada family, has beaten the powerful Tokugawa's army twice in 16th century. Because of this history, Ueda castle was known as "Undefeatable castle". 400 years has passed, now the castle ruin is open to public as a park. In the spring season, cherry blossoms are beautiful, and many tourists are coming to see those flowers.
Suwa City
Suwa Lake is the largest lake in Nagano Prefecture. Chinese quince and cherry blossom, trees add color to the surrounding scenery, and whether enjoying a leisurely stroll or jog along the lakeside or enjoying a boat ride or fishing on the lake, Suwa Lake is well-known as an oasis.
Komoro City
Komoro Castle Ruins - Kaikoen Park: Komoro Castle Ruins "Kaikoen Park" is selected in Japan's Top 100 Castles. Chikuma City
Obasute is home to one of the most scenic terraced rice paddy landscapes in Japan and has been selected as one of Japan's cultural landscapes. It is one of the top 100 terraced rice paddy landscapes in Japan. More than 1,800 small rice paddies carved like stairs into the side of a hill side create a nostalgic scene. The moonlight night view of Zenkoji Plain from the top of the terraced rice paddies together with the pristine air make this a place somewhere you can't miss visiting. Obasute Station with its retro station building and the Nagano Expressway Obasute Service Area are great viewing locations both day and night.
Azumino City
The largest farm of Wasabi (horseradish) in Japan, the Daio Wasabi Farm is noted for its picturesque beauty and long history. The water mills next to the farm were also featured in the film "Dreams" by Akira Kurosawa, and are best viewed by taking one of the special raft-tours that are available throughout the spring and summer months.
Karuizawa Town
A Town for All Seasons: KARUIZAWA became popular in the late 19th century as a summer retreat for missionaries and diplomats based in Tokyo. In 1886 Canadian missionary Alexander Croft Shaw became enchanted with Karuizawa’s beauty and returned 2 years later to build the region’s first summer residence. The upper echelons of Japanese society, including members of the Diet and indeed the Imperial Family, quickly caught on and began to summer in the town to escape Tokyo’s blistering summer heat. The excellent ski slopes and long golfing season which runs into December led to Karuizawa becoming a popular choice for a winter break too. It is also the closest mountain resort town to the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. The introduction of the bullet train in 1997 reduced the journey from Tokyo to a mere hour, placing Karuizawa firmly at the top of the list for those wanting to escape the hectic capital at any time of the year.
