Measures in Response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus Outbreak

Due to the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infections and the declaration of a state of emergency, various services offered by JAF will be handled as follows. JAF will continue to operate while considering the safety of customers and staff, and take measures to prevent the spread of infections.
Calls for road service
Road service will operate as normal.
Requests for assistance can be made as follows. Depending on factors such as call center congestion, it may become difficult for calls to get through.

Operation of JAF branch service counters
For a while from January 15, due to the declaration of a state of emergency, the business hours of service counters at Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, Tochigi, Aichi, Gifu, Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Fukuoka Branch Office will be changed from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Other branch offices are open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. (Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays)
JAF will continue to operate while considering the safety of customers and staff, and take measures to prevent the spread of infections. We understand that these measures may inconvenience some customers, and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Japanese translation of foreign driver’s licenses
JAF will suspend the instant issuance of driver’s license translations at branch service counters. Please help prevent the spread of infections by submitting applications by mail. Check the following link for mailing addresses.
