Measures in Response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus Outbreak

Due to the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infections and the declaration of a state of emergency, various services offered by JAF will be handled as follows. JAF will continue to operate while considering the safety of customers and staff, and take measures to prevent the spread of infections.
Calls for road service
Road service will operate as normal.
Requests for assistance can be made as follows. Depending on factors such as call center congestion, it may become difficult for calls to get through.
|■Telephone (Navi Dial)
|There is a charge for telephone calls (11 yen per minute for fixed lines and 11 yen per 20 seconds for mobile phones).
However, this number may not work with some IP telephones and mobile phones.
Communications allowances for mobile phones do not apply.
|■Telephone (Speed Dialing)
|There is a charge for telephone calls. However, this number cannot be used by fixed lines (rotary dial) and some IP telephones and mobile phones|

Operation of JAF branch service counters
For a while from October 12, 2020, service counters at JAF branches nationwide will operate with shortened business hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. JAF will continue to operate while considering the safety of customers and staff, and take measures to prevent the spread of infections. We understand that these measures may inconvenience some customers, and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Japanese translation of foreign driver’s licenses
JAF will suspend the instant issuance of driver’s license translations at branch service counters. Please help prevent the spread of infections by submitting applications by mail. Check the following link for mailing addresses.
